"Teach as you want to be remembered"
While teaching...
* Making it personalized
*Use real life tasks
*Use schemata: everything students know.
->It's a good idea to activate what students know and not simply give a task without making them bring what they already know about the topic.
Motivation:
*Draw on a variety of teaching techniques
*Give different tasks
*Use positive classroom atmosphere
*Provide good feedback on students' performance
*Use praise and rewards
"We need to include our students in the learning process!"
Examples of technology that can be used as tools:
Digital cameras - Interactive board
Scanners - Video cameras
E-mail - Computer processing
The Internet - Word processing
I-pods - Mp3
Cell phones - Etc...
Nowadays, just using the board, chalk and talking make our classes pretty boring, and we need to find a way to hold our students' attention. The new technologies are helping us because the young students love Internet, sites, webgames and they know a lot about them and we can integrate this to our classes and make students more participatives.
